South Coast Caravan Club

The South Coast Caravan Club was established in 1985 in the Sussex Inlet area.  At that time there were only three other clubs in NSW, now there are over thirty clubs registered with the NSW Association of Caravan Clubs.

Club events, referred to as rallies, are held on a regular basis. We plan on holding rallies every other month, for two weeks or more duration, both fixed and roving rallies will included in the program, rallies may include a mixture of both types. January and July rallies are a  picnic day, or a luncheon held at one of the clubs in the area to give us an opportunity to get together and to meet up with members who are no longer able to caravan.

Most rallies have eight to fifteen vans, with our two major rallies, Birthday in October and Christmas in December, attracting up to thirty vans.  We have a 12 x 6 metre marquee kept in the club trailer along with a barbecue and other equipment for use at our major rallies.

We are a friendly group of people mostly active retirees, so normally we do not have rallies over long weekends or in school holiday periods.  There are minimal rules and regulations.  No requirement to attend a certain number of rallies or wear a club uniform.  Members may come for as long as they desire, the full rally or just a couple of days.  People who have work,or other commitments can attend at weekends.

A bi-monthly newsletter called the “Hook Up”, keeps members up to date with club activities. A number of our advertisers give club members a discount on their purchases.

New members are also encouraged to attend several rallies as a visitor prior to joining, to see if our club suits them.
